13 Certified Shop Houses at Ciliwung Riverbank Dismantled

As many as 13 shop houses in Jatinegara were already dismantled by Jakarta Provincial Government several times ago.

They have the building certificate, or let’s say they are legal owner. But we still dismantled their building

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, said the dismantling was aimed to support the Ciliwung river normalization. His side gave socialization for the building owners.

“They have the building certificate, or let’s say they are legal owner. But we still dismantled their building,” he said, Wednesday (9/28).

Building Execution in Bukit Duri Is Progressing on Schedule

Those 13 shop houses owners tried to sue Jakarta Provincial Government. For the sake of Jakarta citizens, they finally canceled their plan.

“If they sue us, we’ll keep dismantling their buildings,” he added.
